Its another #valentinesday again. As an organization with mission to build women for development, we understand that educating young girls about the potential risks and realities associated with Valentine’s Day is crucial for their emotional, physical, and mental well-being.
So, in celebration of this year’s Valentine’s Day, we were at Trans Ekulu Girls Secondary School to speak to young school girls on the dark sides of Valentine’s Day and all they need to know about today.

Our message centered on:

– Pressure to engage in romantic or physical relationships
– Healthy relationships and boundaries
– Consent and communication
– Online safety and potential predators
– Self-worth and self-love beyond romantic relationships
– Safe sex practices and reproductive health

We are happy we have empowered these young ones with knowledge and confidence to help them navigate the complexities of relationships and make informed decisions about their own lives
